MONOPRIX Loyalty Program Terms & Conditions

  1. Subject:
    • These terms and conditions apply to the loyalty program (“Loyalty Program”) offered exclusively by Market Hall W.L.L., commercial registration number 90558, P.O. Box 75, Doha, the State of Qatar (hereinafter referred to as “MONOPRIX”).
    • The Loyalty Program is applicable in all MONOPRIX and MONOP’ stores in the State of Qatar.
    • These terms and conditions relate to the membership, earning, redeeming, and rules of the Loyalty Program.
  1. Acceptance:

    The use of the Loyalty Program signifies the unconditional acceptance of the following terms and conditions that Member acknowledges having read and accepted at the time of the Loyalty Program registration.

  1. Term:

     The Loyalty Program is valid until decided otherwise. MONOPRIX has no obligation of maintaining Loyalty Program for any amount of time and may unilaterally decide the termination of Loyalty Program after the approval of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, without any compensation to any of its Members.

  1. Territory:

    The Loyalty Program is applicable only within the territorial limits of the State of Qatar, for the purchases made only offline in all MONOPRIX and MONOP’ stores.

  1. Products exceptions:

    The Loyalty Program does not apply to purchase of cigarettes and other Tabaco products, gift cards, extended warranty, mobile prepaid cards, subscriptions, and future services.

  1. The Loyalty Program:

    The Loyalty Program is available free of charge for all MOPOPRIX Customers if:

    • Customer is at least 18 years old and above;
    • the Loyalty Program application was downloaded through the mobile application;
    • the mandatory information requested by MONOPRIX during registration was duly provided;
    • Customer has valid local mobile number and completed the registration process;
    • An individual account was created.
  1. Membership:
    • After meeting all the requirements providing above (point 6) and after positive OTP verification the Loyalty Program account will be created and Customer will become a member of the Loyalty Program (“Member”).
    • The membership is not transferable.
    • MONOPRIX reserves its rights to reject the membership at any time after the approval of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
    • The membership is for personal and consumer use only, and cannot be used by business entities or for business purposes.
    • The Loyalty Program cannot be duplicated or used for any purposes other than those provided these terms and conditions.
    • Member may not use anyone else’s account at any time or for any reason. MONOPRIX may request at any time a relevant identification document, without being required to do so, at its discretion and without being liable, if it did not request such identification document.
  1. Cashback Rewards:
    • The Loyalty Program allows Members to earn Cashback Rewards.
    • In order to earn Cashback Rewards the Loyalty Program active application shall be presented prior payment.
    • Cashback Rewards rates – as a percentage of the relevant spent in one transaction:

  • Amount spent in one transaction is rounded down to the nearest single Qatari Riyal.
  • Cashback Rewards are not refundable, replaceable or transferable under any circumstances, cannot be copied, and can only be used by Members themselves.
  • Cashback Rewards earned remain valid for the entire term of the Loyalty Program. Cashback Rewards will expire and will not be usable if MONOPRIX decides to end the Loyalty Program, after the approval of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
  • Cashback Rewards earned might be visible on the Loyalty Program Member’s account till 24 hours of the transaction.
  • Cashback Rewards have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and are void if sold, purchased, bartered, or exchanged for cash or other consideration, or if received or used in violation of these terms and conditions.
  1. Redeeming the Cashback Rewards:
    • The Loyalty Program allows Members to redeem Cashback Rewards.
    • Cashback Rewards can be redeemed only once the Loyalty Program account is registered.
    • Members can instantly redeem their Cashback Rewards at checkout service by paying or offset the price for purchases at MONOPRIX and MONOP’ store.
    • Cashback Rewards cannot be exchanged for cash and no change will be given.
    • No change/currency will be given for any unused portion of any Cashback Rewards.
  1. Loyalty Account Information:

    Members can access the Loyalty Program account information:

    • On each receipt: information about previous and new Cashback Rewards’ balance, Cashback Rewards earned;
    • On the Loyalty Program application.
  1. Exchange & Refund:
    • Exchange and Refund requests without a valid invoice will not be accepted.
    • In the event that for any reason a refund is issued by MONOPRIX following the return of any qualifying purchase, any Cashback Rewards earned in respect of such purchase shall be deducted from the relevant Member’s account.
    • Refund of a product paid partially by Cashback Rewards and cash/card will be returned in Cashback Rewards and cash/card depending on the payment type.
    • If a customer who has benefited from Cashback Rewards seeks to refund an item, the amount of Cashback Rewards gained will be deducted from the total refund. For instance, if a customer bought a TV worth QR 10,000 and gained QR 500 in Cashback Rewards, and then used those Cashback Rewards in a subsequent purchase, should they return the TV for a refund, they will receive QR 9,500, as the QR 500 in Cashback Rewards already used will be deducted. If the Cashback Rewards were not used, the QR 500 will simply be deducted from the customer’s Cashback Rewards balance.
  1. Responsibility:
    • Members are entirely and solely responsible for the Loyalty Program application’s possession, use, and control, including maintaining access to the account. Members are entirely responsible for any and all activities that occur under the Loyalty Program Member’s account.
    • MONOPRIX is exempted from any responsibility for any direct or indirect consequences linked to any malfunction; nevertheless, it will do its best to keep all the Loyalty Program Member’s acquired benefits.
    • MONOPRIX is exempted from any responsibility for any direct or indirect consequences linked to any fraudulent use or non-accordance use with these terms and conditions.
    • MONOPRIX will not be liable for any loss that Member may incur, including, but not limited to: as a result of someone else using the account, either with or without Member’s knowledge.
    • MONOPRIX reserves the right to disqualify Member from further participation in the Loyalty Program, cancel all previously accumulated Cashback Rewards, and seek compensation for rewards utilized if, in MONOPRIX’s sole judgment, that Member has engaged in wilful misconduct or breached any of the rules governing the Loyalty Program, including, but not limited to the fraudulent acquisition of Cashback Rewards, sale or abuse of Cashback Rewards or reward benefits.
  1. Loss of the Loyalty Program account:
    • Loyalty Program Members are responsible for any loss/delete of the Loyalty Program digital account.
    • Member can request a new Loyalty Program membership access with a different phone number.
  1. Privacy:

    The personal information collected from Members in connection with the Loyalty Program, will be used and disclosed in accordance with MONOPRIX privacy policy (https://www.monoprix.qa/privacy-policy-2/).

  1. Marketing communication:
    • When opting in for MONOPRIX marketing communications Member will receive the latest offers, rewards, and news via e-mail, SMS, or push notifications in accordance with information Member provided.
    • Member can choose to unsubscribe from MONOPRIX communications at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link that is found at the bottom of each of MONOPRIX’s promotional emails, or via the Loyalty Program application. Such unsubscribing may take up to 48 hours to propagate. In this case, MONOPRIX may be unable to notify Member of tailored offers. However, Member will still receive operational and service messages from MONOPRIX regarding the Loyalty Program Member’s account.
  1. General:
    • The Loyalty Program is governed entirely by these terms and conditions.
    • If any of the provisions contained herein is or becomes invalid or illegal, if the terms and conditions can survive the elimination of said provision then the invalid/illegal provision will be eliminated, after confirming the illegality with Ministry of Commerce & Industry
  1. Governing law and jurisdiction:

    These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Qatar and, in case of disputes that cannot be solved in a reasonable period of time, the competent courts shall be the courts of Qatar.
